Description
Deformities of the maxillofacial region are a source of great worry to patients as well as their relatives. Much more than any functional compromise that may be associated with the same, it is the social stigma that becomes a burden.Traditional orthognathic surgery and craniofacial reconstruction using grafts have gained a generalized acceptance and experienced widespread success for a long time. In recent years, the practice of surgery has been altered by an increase in understanding and manipulation of biological systems.
